This is a reminder that students in Grades 1–6 will be swimming every day this week. Please ensure students come prepared with their swimming gear.

Additionally, students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 will be participating in the Provincial Literacy Assessment during the assessment window of January 19 – February 6. Teachers will administer the assessment during regular classroom time.

Format: In person and online

We are pleased to invite families to a parent learning session on Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity, presented by Leeanne Morrow.

Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity (AI)

This presentation explores how artificial intelligence intersects with academic integrity, emphasizing the importance of AI literacy so students, educators, and parents can use these tools responsibly. The session will:

  • Explain what generative AI is and how it works
  • Highlight limitations and risks of algorithmically produced content
  • Introduce basic ethical approaches to AI use
  • Share effective prompting strategies to support thoughtful, transparent, and human-centered AI use
  • Discuss how students can assert agency when using AI

Trickster Theatre Residency

Trickster Theatre is an Alberta-based company that partners with schools to support student learning through creative drama, storytelling, and performance. During the residency, students actively help create a play, developing short performances connected to our school-wide theme, “Seeds of Change.”

We are excited to share that we have raised $1,317.75 toward our $5,200 goal to fund the Trickster Theatre Residency taking place this May.

Thank you to our school community for your continued support—every contribution helps bring this meaningful learning experience to our students.
