Dear Sunnyside School Families,
It was a pleasure to see those of you who were able to attend our Halloween parade and pumpkin display. I look forward to future events and opportunities for us to come together in celebration of learning and community engagement.
Remembrance Day Ceremony
We are honored to announce that our Grade 5 and 6 students will be leading the school in our Remembrance Day Ceremony on Thursday, November 7, 2024. This event carries significant weight and responsibility, reflecting the solemnity of the occasion. Our students will adhere to national etiquette and formal protocols, distinguishing this ceremony from other gatherings or assemblies.
We warmly invite you to join us for this important event. Doors will open at 10:30 AM, allowing guests to settle in before the students enter the gym at 10:40 AM. While an RSVP is not required, we kindly request that you inform either me or your child’s teacher in advance if you plan to attend. This will enable us to ensure adequate seating arrangements for adults, given the formal nature of the ceremony. Thank you for your support as we honor this significant day together.
Fun Lunch
Fun lunch is now available to order, sign up at healthyhunger.ca! The first lunch takes place on November 20. The cut-off time to order is 5 days before so get your order in before Friday 15 November.
Council
Our next meeting is this 6:00 PM Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Sunnyside School.
