Welcome to our final Sunnyside Weekly of the 2023 - 2024 school year! We have so many things to celebrate about our year together as a school community.

Thank you to all of the families that were able to attend our Family Picnic this Thursday afternoon. It was great to see families relaxing and having fun together!

Our Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation:

This week all classes engaged in a wide variety of learning experiences to help us understand Indigenous ways of knowing. Students learned about important Indigenous people, appreciated and created art, reflected on their mind, body, heart and spirit and spent time learning from the land. We are proud to share with you our Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation for the 2024 - 2025 school year. TRC

Transitions:

Change and transitions are sometimes hard but are important parts of our lives. We believe in preparing students for their next steps and telling them that we know they can do it! For the last week of school, teachers and students will be reflecting on their growth and learning this year and talking about what next year will be like. Some classes may be visiting next year's classrooms or writing letters to share with their new teachers.

*If your child will not be attending until the last day of school please be sure to notify the office and their teacher.

Lost and Found:

The Lost and Found is overflowing again! Teachers will make sure that their classes take a good look before the last day. If your child is missing something specific, please email their teacher and they can help them look. Items not claimed will be donated after the last day of school.
