This month, Indigenous History Month, and today, Indigenous People's Day, we reflect on our previous Commitments to Truth and Reconcilation and look forward to the collective ways we can contribute to ReconciliACTION. We are proud to share our Truth and Reconcilation Commitment for the 2024 - 2025 school year:

We will build and apply knowledge of how to value and balance Indigenous and Western perspectives to create ‘ethical space' in the learning environment by incorporating Indigenous languages and teaching methods into our planning with an emphasis on the Science curriculum.

Our commitment was inspired by Call to Action 62.2: Educate teachers on how to integrate Indigenous knowledges, languages, and teaching methods into classrooms (focus on professional learning and planning).
