What a wonderful final week of school before winter break!

 

Some activities that kept our students engaged were: festive singing and dancing, making cards for community members, winter art, learning about winter solstice, giving to Fear is Not Love playing board games with buddies, winter stories, community walk, learning outside…

 

We wish all of our Sunnyside families a winter break full of joy.  See you in 2024!

 

Here’s what’s happening when we return from winter break:

 

• Monday, January 8 – Classes resume
• Thursday, January 11 – Welcome back assembly at 9:00AM – family members are welcome
• Friday, January 12 - Regular Friday - noon dismissal for grades 1 to 6, no Kindergarten classes
• Monday, January 15 - Professional learning day for teachers - NO SCHOOL for students
• Monday, January 15 – Kindergarten Registration for the 2024 – 2025 school year opens https://cbe.ab.ca/programs/kin...
• Thursday, January 18 at 6:00PM – Mandatory parent meeting for grade 5 and 6 students attending Camp Chief Hector
• Thursday, January 18 - Fun Lunch - order by 11:59PM on Saturday, January 13 at Healthy Hunger
• Wednesday, January 24 – Bell Let’s Talk Day – well-being day at Sunnyside!
• Tuesday, January 30 – report cards viewable to parents through MyCBE account, IPPs go home
