Dear Sunnyside School Families,
This email contains important fundraising information and is being sent separately from our regular school communication to ensure it does not get missed. Please take a moment to review the updates and opportunities outlined below.

Art Cards
This year, Sunnyside School is excited to participate in the Art Cards by Kids fundraiser! Each student will be creating a special "Alberta Nature" art piece at school, and families will have the chance to order greeting cards and other items featuring their child's artwork. The cards are blank inside, making them multi-purpose, and a portion of every order goes back to support our school.
For more information on product details, visit artcardsbykids.com/product-details. More details, including how to order and deadlines, will be shared in the coming weeks.
Bottle Drive
Trickster Theatre is an Alberta-based company that partners with schools to support student learning through creative drama, storytelling, and performance. During the residency, students actively help create a play, developing short performances connected to our school-wide theme, "Seeds of Change."
We are excited to share that we have raised $1,371 toward our $5,200 goal to fund the Trickster Theatre Residency taking place this May. Thank you to our school community for your continued support!

Read-A-Thon Kick-Off
We are excited to launch our next school-wide Read-A-Thon from March 9 through March 30, with the support of our School Council. Students are encouraged to read as much as they can, track their minutes on a reading log, and collect pledges or sponsors to support their efforts. All funds raised will go directly toward the continued enhancement of our school library.
Please note that March 22–29 falls during Spring Break. This time has been thoughtfully included to encourage students to keep reading while away from school. The Read-A-Thon and our upcoming Book Fair work hand-in-hand to foster a love of reading while growing our library collection. Updates on the library's progress are shared monthly at School Council meetings.
Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair will run from March 9–13 in Room 8. Classes will have an opportunity to browse early in the week, with purchases available mid-week. Family shopping time will be available on Thursday, March 12 from 4:00–7:30 PM. We look forward to seeing families at the Book Fair!
Warmly,
Sunnyside School and School Council
