Dear Families
We are excited to welcome students and families back for the first day of school!
Parking
If you are driving to school, we kindly ask that you use street parking, as the school parking lot is designated for staff. While a stall may occasionally appear open due to staggered staff start times, it is important that all staff have reliable access to parking so they can support students promptly. Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth and safe start to the school day.
Pets at School
We love seeing our community’s furry family members and know how much joy they bring! To ensure all students feel safe and comfortable on their way to school, we kindly ask that dogs remain on the public sidewalk, on leash, and under supervision at all times. Keeping pets off the school field helps students who are learning to manage fears or anxieties about dogs feel confident and welcome as they arrive and leave school each day. Thank you for helping us create a safe and caring environment for everyone.
A Message from School Council
Welcome new and returning parents! Get involved in your children’s school experience by joining Sunnyside’s School Council. We collaborate with the school to organize and fund virtually all extracurricular activities, including swimming classes, school dances, and days out. We are volunteer-led and need enthusiastic, motivated parents to help create these experiences for our kids. Please come to our Annual General Meeting on Thursday September 11 at 6pm to see what it’s all about!
