Dear Sunnyside School Families,
This December, we have some exciting ways for our school community to come together and support our programs! From the Kindergarten and Grade 3–4 hosted bottle drives connected to the K – Grade 6 Trickster Theatre Residency, to the Scholastic Book Fair and the special Fun Lunch, there are plenty of opportunities for students and families to participatein school activities that also help enhance learning experiences.
Bottle Drive
Bottle Drive December 11 – Kindergarten Team Hosting
Kindergarten students are hosting a Trickster Theatre Residency bottle drive this Thursday. The weather is expected to reach –20 later this week. For this reason, the gym will be open via the parking lot doors for bottles to be dropped off indoors after school until 5pm. If needed, drop-offs can be made via the office in the morning as well.
Next bottle drive: January 8, hosted by the Grade 3,4 Team
About Trickster Theatre: Trickster Theatre is an Alberta-based company that partners with schools to help students learn through creative drama, storytelling, and performance. During the residency, students don’t just watch a play—they actively help create it, developing short performances connected to the school-wide theme, “Seeds of Change.”
