December 14, 2025
Dear Sunnyside School Families,
As we head into the final week of school before the winter break, we wanted to share a few important reminders and upcoming opportunities with our school community. Thank you, as always, for your support in helping keep our school safe, connected, and full of positive experiences for students.
Parking Zones and School Bus
As a friendly reminder, we’ve noticed that some vehicles have been parking in the designated “No Parking” area during morning drop-off. Unfortunately, this has been creating challenges for school buses that need the full space to safely round the corner. To help keep all students safe and traffic flowing smoothly, we kindly ask families to avoid stopping or parking in this area during drop-off times. Your cooperation makes a big difference in ensuring a safe and respectful arrival for everyone—thank you for your support.
Last week of school festivities
From December 15–19, we’ll be celebrating the season with a Festive Dress Week! Students, staff and families are invited to join in by wearing cozy and wintery clothing, fun or patterned sweaters, hats, scarves, or layers in seasonal colors like red, green, blue, white, or silver. You can also add winter-inspired touches like snowflakes, sparkles, or other cheerful accessories. Participation is completely optional—just a fun way to bring extra warmth and brightness to our school community.
From December 15–18, 3:10–3:30 p.m. in the gym, we’ll be gathering to sing seasonal and festive songs—and you’re invited to join! If you have a family favorite, send it our way and we’ll do our best to add it to the playlist. Come share in the music and seasonal cheer!
