Scholastic Book Fair

The Book Fair is almost here! See details here: https://sunnyside.cbe.ab.ca/news/scholastic-book-fair-september-23-to-26-20240906155644 .

Ms. Lewis is still looking for some volunteers. Please email her at hclewiswilcox@cbe.ab.ca if you have current CBE police clearance and can help out.

Safety

This week we had our first practice fire drill. All students exited the school quietly and all students and staff were accounted for quickly.

We also had our first lockdown drill with support from a police officer. We were very proud of how students went to the green dot in their classrooms and sat quietly as they waited for the drill to be over.

Great job Sunnyside!

Reminder: There is no supervision for students before school until soft start at 8:30AM. We encourage students to come to school just before 8:30 so they can come right into the school.

Here's what's happening at Sunnyside this week:

All week: Truth and Reconciliation Week at Sunnyside!

Students will engage in age-appropriate lessons and stories that highlight that all children matter and connect them to the land. Students will recognize autumnal equinox and learn outside.
