Fun Run

Our first Sunnyside Fun Run was a huge success! Thank you to Ms. Chilton, the EverActive club and EverActive Schools for organizing such as great whole-school event. Thank you to all the family members that came out to cheer and the volunteers that helped out.

CBE's New Education Plan

Mrs. Schmitt shared the new Education plan with School Council at the meeting this week. Our 3 areas of focus for the next 3 years will be: Learning Excellence, Well-being and Truth and Reconciliation, Diversity and Inclusion. At Sunnyside, we are looking forward to creating a new School Development Plan that will address the 3 areas in ways that are meaningful for our school population. Library Books are Due June 14

Ms. Lewis would like students to return all library books by June 14 so she has time to get organized for next year and track down missing books.

Leaving Early?

If your family is leaving on vacation and your child will be missing school at the end of the school year, please notify the office by calling (403) 777-6390 or emailing Sunnyside@cbe.ab.ca . Please let your child's teacher know too so they can send home your child's belongings.

Staffing Update:

We would like to congratulate Ms. Chilton in successfully attaining a teaching position at a school in the NW. Ms. Chilton has been an integral part of our team as a teacher and Learning Leader for the past 3 years. We will miss her dedication to her students and the whole school and wish her all the best!

We are in the midst of hiring some amazing new teachers and will share details when we have confirmed our decisions.
