To recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day, Sunnyside School will be holding a school assembly on June 19 at 10:00 a.m. The assembly will include a Land Acknowledgement led by Kindergarten and Grade 3/4 students, a Celebration of Outdoor Learning at Sunnyside video, and a whole-school performance of the Sunnyside School song. We will also share a message from an Elder in recognition of the Summer Solstice and National Indigenous Peoples Day, as well as class word clouds highlighting student learning. The assembly will conclude with a performance of Proud Like a Mountain led by Grade 3/4 students and Mr. Millar. Families are welcome to join.
